The Diamond

Metals like platinum, silver and gold,
Fascinate everybody, whether young or old.
The craze for glittery is in every household,
The things which make us beautiful and bold.

But above all these, there is one thing,
That makes even the dumb excite and sing.
The thought of a diamond sure does bring,
Joy for everyone who want to buy a ring.

Keeping such a stone in close possession,
Is not only great, but a funny obsession.
A man who lost his diamond once did mention,
"Don't lose yours or you will die with the tension.

The diamond was my precious and my own,
Now I can do nothing but sit and mourn.
"Never lose a diamond", he said with a sad tone,
"Or you'll feel depressed and alone !"
